 For those of you who are following us, here's the final product of our lost wax casting from Saturday. Beautiful isn't it?

Just a little lost-wax casting on a Saturday Afternoon

For those of you unfamiliar to this type of jewelry making, this is where a metal piece is cast from an artist's creation. Intricate works can be achieved by this method. Interestingly the oldest archaeological and literary evidence of lost-wax casting can be found in India, dating back nearly 5,000 years ago druing the Harappan period.

Here are a  few pictures to show the process in our studio, Terry, our jeweler sculpted this particular piece from scratch. It's pretty amazing. Take a look:
